I thought I was going to be so very diligent keeping up this blog, and I find myself getting waaaay behind. My new work responsibilites have taken a huge amount of concentration, and by the time I get home, the PC is the LAST thing I want to get involved with... lol
So, October rolled around, and we had a great month at the Graham house, starting with a great Graham Family Reunion at Tannehill State Park, near Tuscaloosa AL (home of the #1 Crimson Tide!). Ted's family is not super big, but one of his grandfather's aunts was able to come from Tennessee, and she's 93. She brought with her the greatest gift... FAMILY HISTORY RECORDS! Ted poured over the documents and pictures, and we were able to exchange addresses and phone numbers with his relatives so that he can continue plugging in all this information to his current PAF program.
The girls had a great time playing on the bridge over the creek nearby, and we all took a ride on the little train that ran around a portion of the park grounds. I'll post pictures, it was just too lovely of a day!
We also took the opportunity to celebrate Ashley's 9th birthday, a week early. We picked up this beautiful cake from Edgar's Bakery in Birmingham, and surprised her with a family party later that night at Ted's mom's house. It's hard to believe she's already 9! The girls are growing up way too fast! Savannah kept on calling Noni's new husband Tom by "Tomk" ... don't ask me where the "k" came from, but it was absolutely hilarious to hear her call "Hey Big Tomk!" throughout the house. We all giggled each time she did it - so now it's a game. Too funny.....
